Photographer Jiah Ali was out wandering around Itwar Bazaar, in the Pakistani capital Islamabad, when she decided to snap a tea seller.

But her subject has turned out to be no ordinary tea seller. Eighteen-year-old Arshad Khan has since become quite the internet sensation because, well… oh you know what, just take a look at him (and those dreamy blue eyes) for yourselves.

Here he is making Ali some tea.

And here posing for a photo.

We could go on and on…

As the images of Khan went viral, Twitter responded, well, just how you’d expect really.

Unsurprisingly, #ChaiWala started trending on Twitter in Pakistan. But, in a perhaps more unlikely turn of events, the picture of Khan also went crazy in India.

Tensions are running high between the two countries after a series of incidents, including calls for Pakistani actors to be banned from the Indian film industry.

But some people took to Twitter to discuss how this one vendor may have eased tensions between the two nations.

The photographer later managed to find Khan again, as she explains in this Facebook post.

And then came the announcement we had all been expecting – Khan has been snapped up as a model. He’s now working for Fitin.pk, an Islamabad based online shopping store.

Bet you’ll never look at a cup of chai the same way again.
