Less than a year ago, China replaced a clunky wooden bridge with a glass-bottom bridge in the Shiniuzhai Geopark in Hunan Province. It immediately became the world’s longest glass-bottom walkway.

Since this glass walkway is 300m (984 feet) long and 180m (590 feet) high off the ground, walking or even crawling across it is an amazing and brave accomplishment to be proud of.

But for this couple, walking across wasn’t enough to make the day unforgettable. Neither was the fact that they were getting married on Chinese Valentine’s Day. They had to mark their special day with something a bit more ‘exciting.’

As a celebration for the event, a Chinese couple dangled under the glass bridge as part of their marriage ceremony.

The bride Jiang Huizhu and groom Zhou Wenlong were lowered on a small platform where they posed for photos and could enjoy the astonishing view.

“(It’s to) challenge ourselves…We’d like to celebrate the festival in a special way,” the bride told Reuters.
