Known as one of Japan’s national treasures, the Shiba Inu is too mainstream to just take a stroll through a park with its owner.

Inuyama Shibao, a Shiba Inu has his very own tailored suit not only to look as cute as can be but also to obey the dress code. You see he is Japan’s very first dog news anchor.

Inuyama News Anchor

Even with a short time in front of cameras, Inuyama has already amassed raging fans that love his cute cuddly face and personality.

Yes, he is cute. Yes, he already has a huge fan base. But no, he hasn’t been hired for a permanent position as a news anchor. In fact, he is currently part of a series of infomercials for Seven Bank.

Though Inuyama tries to be as professional as possible, he is often distracted and can’t help himself from being what he was born to be… a dog.

He is often caught falling asleep, licking papers, playing with chewy plastic balls, and jumping on top of the table.

But who can blame him? One can’t help but say ‘aww’ once you see the innocence reflected on Inuyama’s face.

With 70,000 hits on his YouTube video, he has been compared to the popular meme ‘Doge’ – which you probably know of – because of the obvious resemblance. If you don’t understand Japanese, you won’t be able to understand the voice-over on this YouTube video, but Inuyama is cute anyway.
