Remember the Catbus from ‘My Neighbor Totoro’? You Can Ride it Now

If you’re a fan of Studio Ghibli’s anime film My Neighbor Totoro, you might want to check this out.

Until a few months back, the Ghibli Museum in Tokyo had a life-size version of the magical character Catbus on display.  The problem was that this life-size version was only big enough for kids.

Adults had to sit back and wish they were kids again to hop on the enchanting Catbus.

Good news struck, disguised as bad news, as the notice had gone out that the Ghibli Museum would be shut down for two months for renovations.

The good news was noticed when a poster advertised the new Catbus for adults called “Ride the Catbus to the Ghibli Forest.” It is scheduled to appear from July 16, 2016 to May 2017, meaning it is currently live.

You’ll be sure to get the high standard exhibition you have in mind, as the director Hayao Miyazaki himself oversaw the renovations.
