Russian Couple Ditches the Movies to Climb China Tower Under Construction

This Russian couple just took dates to new heights – literally.

Both 22-year-old Ivan Kuznetsov and 23-year-old Angela Nikolau have a hobby that is very much out of the ordinary. They can’t seem to quench their thirst for adrenaline.

China 117 Tower

Their most recent eye-catching stunt was in honor of their relationship.

Since China is becoming well known for its freakishly high towers, the Russian couple had the great idea to climb one of the towers under construction, the Goldin Finance 117 Tower. It’s known as the China 117 Tower, located in Tianjin, and is almost 2,000 feet tall (more than 600 meters).

If you notice from the pictures, the couple is so used to heights and ‘daredevil’ acts that they did not bother to put on any safety harnesses.

This daring act wouldn’t have been as successful as it was if it weren’t for Travel Ticker, which helped organize the unusual trip.

In an interview to insideedition.com, Ivan Kuznetsov said, “I did this to prove [to] myself that I can do this.”

And although this is the highest structure they have climbed, they have quite a portfolio under their arms as they had previously climbed the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Shanghai Tower in China, and others.

I don’t think it’s necessary to remind you not to try this at home – at least not without the supervision of this Russian couple.
